About AISA

AI Safety & Alignment at Boston University is a student community dedicated to mitigating risks from advanced AI and contributing towards the flourishing of humanity by accelerating talented students into AI safety careers.

Why we exist

We think machine intelligence will have effects ranging from revolutionizing how our societies operate to enabling technological advances our ancestors could only have dreamed of.

At the same time, the companies at the frontier spend far less on the safety of the systems they are rapidly developing than on making them more capable, systems we are only beginning to understand. International tensions between the world's superpowers will only speed up this race.
